For Yeezy Season 5, Kanye West switched up the presentation when he showed his collaboration with adidas Originals at Pier 59 Studios in NYC yesterday.
Invitations were sent out the day before which included a sweater and a Yeezy Season 4 zine with photos shot by Jackie Nickerson. Model’s featured in the zine were Amina Blue, Braina Laviena, Rich the Kid, Sofia Richie, Playboi Carti, Teyana Taylor and Luka Sabbat.
Compared to Yeezy Season 4, the show took place inside instead of outside where models were projected onto a four-sided cube. Each model was spun around as the song “Bed” by The Dream played. Models then walked the runway around the cube while the track continued to play. There was no official live stream for the show, Kanye’s friends took to their Instagram pages to stream from the location.
UPDATE: The song is a cover by The Dream who wrote the lyrics for J. Holiday.
Yeezy Season 5 featured more details, lettering and denim than other previous collection. A new sneaker made it’s debut in white with blue accents. Women’s boots and heels were also featured.

Among the changes with this season, was a change in the collaborators Kanye worked with to cast and put on the show. He teamed up with Carine Roitfeld instead of Vanessa Beecroft this time around as explained by model Amina Blue.
Complex: What can you say about the show that people don’t know?
AB: “One thing I can say that we did differently this time was we had a totally different team put this show together. I work very closely with Carine Roitfeld. She was a big help in this show. I think she turned a lot of it around, and obviously Kanye too. But she pulled it together. She’s our number one supporter, so I was really happy to see her working with us on this show.”
The show may have seen changes, but the guests were just as a-list as the other collection debuts. For the finale, Kanye did not make an appearance, instead Kim Kardashian West left her front row seat to signal the end.
