Even though the album has “officially” been released, Kanye will continue to make adjustments to “The Life of Pablo” in the future according to a statement by Def Jam Records. Major and minor changes on almost every track were made to the album before it was available everywhere last night, including lyric changes and additions, new vocals and updated mixing and mastering.
“In the months to come, Kanye will release new updates, new versions, and new iterations of the album. An innovative, continuous process, the album will be a living, evolving art project. ‘The Life of Pablo’ has truly taken on a life of its own.”
Dej Jam also announced that “Famous” will become the album’s first single that will be sent to radio, a bold move by Kanye.
We first got a taste of the album during Kanye’s Yeezy Season 3 premiere at Madison Square Garden on February 11, which was the initial release date. Fans in theaters worldwide also got to experience the first play through of “The Life of Pablo” and debut of the third season.
In typical Kanye style, he was still working on the finishing touches delaying the drop until February 14 right after his two epic Saturday Night Live performances.
Kanye made the announcement after the performances sending the internet into a frenzy rushing to get their hands on the album. The “The Life of Pablo” drop came only to Tidal initially, which is now reporting was streamed 250 million times within its first 10 days.
